CPCS / CITB A34 Dozer (Tractor) Basic Training 9 Days This is for candidates with little or no experience in operations of a Dozer. Upon completion candidates will have shown a knowledge and understanding of: Carrying out pre start and running checks on machine How to prepare and travel a machine over varying terrain How to manoeuvre machine in a confined space using forward & reverse direction Form different sizes of stockpiles by cutting Spread and level material to specification Place machine in and out of service condition Explain loading and unloading procedures Upon completion of 9 day course an Intermediate Construction award will be issued for Training and candidates can then go forward for CPCS Technical Test. Experienced operator(s) For experienced operators familiar with operations of Dozers we offer a 1 day formal training section prior to test to brush up on any bad habits that may have been picked up over the years. Upon completion of a 1 day course an Intermediate Construction award will be issued for training and candidates can then go forward for CPCS Technical Test. CPCS Technical Test Theory test - A recorded oral questioning session of up to 1hr duration and candidates must pass this test before any practical test is undertaken. Practical test - A timed category specific practical test for Dozer the time allowed is 2hr 45min. Only upon completion of technical test can CPCS 'Trained Operator' card be applied for Location Courses are held at clients sites, subject to minimum requirements as laid down by the CITB /CPCS scheme.
